Virginia's professional career began in theatre. After graduating from college with a Bachelor's of Music degree, she moved to New York to pursue her dream of being on Broadway.  She was soon approached about playing Dorothy in a new musical called "The Yellow Brick Road"- a retelling of the Wizard of OZ in Spanish & English.  After several workshops, the show moved Off Broadway to the Lucille Lortel Theatre and opened with critical acclaim.  Virginia received favorable reviews from the NY Times & Daily News for her starring role and the show became a NY Times critics pick.

Soon after, Virginia landed the lead role in Lin Manuel Miranda's "In the Heights".  She played Nina on the National Tour of this Broadway musical for 9 months on tour!  The show hit 77 cities throughout the run, and she was able to work with the original creative team

as well as Miranda, who personally chose her for the role.

It was a dream and an honor to be a part of this family legacy.

In between she worked with many workshops, upcoming composers and musicals, and even sang as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra on the mainstage at the Kennedy Center.  A few years later she auditioned and was cast in "Mamma Mia".  The Broadway company opened a brand new version in Las Vegas and Virginia was featured in the ensemble and understudied two roles.  She was the only cast member to sing 30 out of the 32 songs in the show!

Feel free to download her resume for a full list of her stage credits.
